Jobs this week, time to fill that box with pictures

Rice basketball games came out of the TV factory this week, Tudor Fieldhouse at Rice is a nice arena, small so fans are up close and Rice finally did an update of the place and added air conditioning. It used to be funny when teams such as UT would play here, they would bitch about the heat and how small the place was. Sometimes it worked as home court advantage and Rice would beat some of the big shot teams.It does look better and with AC our jobs are easier. Thursday the women played UTEP and Rice won. UTEP's mascot is a miner with a pickaxe, it was kind of funny seeing the women warming up wearing jackets with a grizzled miner logo. I ran handheld below the basket and at one point one of the players fell out of bounds and landed in my lap. The announcer said she just took a seat on our cameraman. The best part was we got to leave the gear in place because we came back on saturday to do Rice mens vs Memphis Tigers. The game looked like a blowout for Rice but the Tigers came back but then fell apart and Rice won which was kind of an upset. Memphis was ranked and usally has a good team.I opted to run handheld again in part because noone else wanted to.Its fun but you have a camera on your shoulder the game and you are up and down getting shots at TV breaks of the band,fans and the huddle, but it pays a little extra so that is good. I have been working on a plan to change the sewer connection, right now a belly door has to be left slightly open to connect. I want to change the pipe so it will connect from the bottom and the door can stay closed.  In a house the sewer connection never crosses your mind, but welcome to the RV life, fun little challenges aren't they.
