Saturday, SATURDAY, Saturday ONE DAY ONLY, as the announcer would say it was Supercross day.One of the best parts was I didn't have to be at work until 3pm and all the gear was set up. Since I worked it last year the directer put me on camera 1, the same one I did last time. Camera 1 and 2 are the high positions. Camera 1 follows the leader all the way around, sometimes camera 1 pulls out to show two or three motorcycles if there is a battle or close racing for up front positions. Camera 2 follows racing battles further back and picks up anything else the directer wants.Camera 1 is always the default shot if the low cameras miss the leaders. There are seven cameras positioned around the track and they get those spectacular big air shots. We shoot seven races for the night, then pack up the trucks and we're done. Most of the crew travels with the circuit and they are great people to work with. They pick up crew people in every city to fill out the crew, it would be fun to travel with them. This year the show went great. I am scheduled to do the show in Dallas. Next up is Rice basketball.
