Away with the evil highway, its time for rest

The town of Caruthersville is a few miles east of  I-55 and the casino is east of town.(I-57 hooks up with I-55 after you cross the Mississippi, crossing the river is quite different while driving a bus. In a car the only view is the curve of the bridge and guardrails. Sitting up in the divers seat of the bus you are high enough to see over the guardrails and at the apex of the bridge the view is an extordinary panoramic.)  Driving through downtown was simple, a straight shot and a few lights. The locals who were out walking around waved, thats what makes small towns a great place to be. Pulling into the casino I was met by a guy in a golf cart, he welcomed me then led the way to the RV park. Thank God it was a pull through space, no backing up for me. After parking and hooking up I took of for dinner and some fun. Since I was starving a big dinner seemed in order, next a few slots and some games and back to the bus. I played on their money, if you sign up for the card they give you 10 bucks to play. I didn't make anything but this trip was not about too much relaxing. After a good night sleep it was back to the road. The second day was much better than the first. Since I was rested and more familar with the bus the driving seemed easier and a lot more fun. I made it through Little Rock, Arkansas  then stopped and met Mom and Stepfather at a Waffle House near Malvearn and I-30. Took off and finally made it back to Texas. The rest of the trip was uneventful, I made it back to Houston and parked in front of the house. Two days, 1200 miles and some new gray hair the bus made it home.
