Rest, not now changes need to be made

I lived through the 1970's I remember the bellbottoms, platform shoes and shag carpeting. The interior was a time capsule, vintage 1973 rust colored shag carpeting everywhere, fake butcher block counters and I was sure Avacado an Harvest Gold were hiding somewhere. A major remodel had to be done. The bedroom had two tiny twin beds and aqua walls and cabinets. The dinette up front took almost the entire floor. The passenger seat could not swivel because the kitchen counter was flush with the seat. The curtains looked like they came off a sofa once owned by one of my great aunts. The dashboard was covered in fake leather of a very blah beige.Structurally the cabinets and various other parts  were very well built, they just needed an update. The next five months were spent stripping the interior and intalling a new floor, replacing the dinette and bed, plus many other changes. At the same time the ugly colors on the outside had to go. A little MEK and swoosh the offending paint was gone. The neighbors came by asked questions then walked away shaking their heads. The guy in that house has gone nuts, first he drives up with a diesel smoke spewing bus THEN proceeds to remodel it in his driveway. This neighborhood is going done the tubes. Little did they know soon the house would be sold and the crazy person gone.
